Whitfield Junior Ranger Program

Do you know someone who is between the ages of 4 and 16 and has a love for nature? Come on down to Whitfield and learn how to get started on this FREE program!

What do I have to do to complete this program?
In order to earn a hat, you must complete all three activities and answer the question: Why is Whitfield Important? upon completion, bring in all four completed activities back into a Whitfield employee. NOTE: Activities were designed to complete one or two per visit to allow multiple visits for multi-faceted deeper understanding.

Who can become a Whitfield Ranger?
ANYONE of any age who loves nature and wants to learn new ways to help protect it

What is a Whitfield Ranger?
A Whitfield Ranger is an individual who has a love for nature and wants to discover something new!

What do I need to get started?
Make sure to ask for your Whitfield Ranger Book, map of Whitfield to follow the trail, family discovery kit, and clipboard before you head out on your first Adventure!

Whitfield Conservation Junior Ranger Program: This program is available for children of all ages kids. This is a one-time visit where kids will earn a badge upon completion.

Whitfield Adult Ranger Program

This new program is available for adults of any age. This program is meant for anyone who is interested to learn more about New Mexico History, Conservation and Preservation, and the wildlife habitats at Whitfield. In order to complete this booklet, an individual must complete at least 7 activities to earn their lapel pin.
