Pam Cordova is a VSWCD Board Supervisor and former educator. She will be your guide at 10:30 for a nature walk along a trail at Whitfield WCA named in honor of her mother, Kandy Cordova.

Jerry Tuttle is an animal specialist who works with Birds of a Feather Parrot Rescue in Albuquerque. Working with animals is his lifelong passion, and he is a designated qualified expert on the Gila Monster and Gray-banded King Snake. He will be bringing birds and reptiles for his presentation and teach us more about these amazing inhabitants of our planet!

Monica Arguello is a VSWCD Master Naturalist Intern and formal educator. She will be presenting on the GLOBE observer app. The app is an initiative of the Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) program, a science and education effort that has enabled schools and students to investigate their local environment and put their observations in a global context. You will learn more about how we can be citizen scientists as we use this app!

Laura McCann is the Environmental Education Program Manager for VSWCD. She is also a wildlife educator and raptor specialist. Ms. McCann will introduce us to live birds-of-prey and teach us why raptors are important to our ecosystems and how to protect them!
